Zuni’s Art Partners Programme aspires to enhance social services with art and culture, allowing a wider audience to discover the allure of theatre. The programme encompasses a variety of activities, including the Welfare Tickets Scheme, innovative courses, youth career guidance initiatives, and internship opportunities, all designed to let every sector of society experience the boundless possibilities arts can offer.
Any school or social welfare organisation is welcome to join us. Please register to become a Zuni Art Partner to receive the latest updates on our programmes and gain priority access to event participation.
Zuni is one of Hong Kong’s leading professional performing arts groups and is engaged in creative education to enrich social services through art and culture. Zuni is also a registered charitable cultural organization and a member of The Hong Kong Council of Social Service (HKCSS). Since 2011, we have launched the “Welfare Tickets Scheme,” offering discounted or free tickets to make theatre accessible to people from all walks of life.
To date, the programme has garnered support from over 330 schools and more than 190 social welfare organizations, benefiting over 93,000 individuals. This year, Zuni continues to sponsor Art Partners to offer theatre performances to their members, hoping to enable even more people to experience a diverse range of Zuni’s stage productions.
The programme is open to beneficiaries and staff of over 480 HKCSS member organisations, Comprehensive Social Security Assistance (CSSA) recipients, local full-time students, school organisations, elderly, and people with disabilities, among others.
“Participating in this programme allows students from grassroots families to gain exposure to more local theatre performances, broaden their horizons, and greatly benefit their growth.”
– Mr. Chou, teacher from Buddhist Hung Sean Chau Memorial College
“Let our grassroots citizens appreciate art, broaden their horizons, improve their quality of life, while also strengthening communication between colleagues and service users, enhancing mutual understanding, and building good relationships.”
– Mr. Chan, Social Welfare Department East Tsuen Wan Integrated Family Service Centre Officer
“Allowing visually impaired individuals to broaden their social lives, enjoy various forms of artistic performances, and providing a good opportunity for guide dogs to receive socialization training.”
– Mr. Tsang, Manager of the Hong Kong Seeing Eye Dogs Services
Zuni also conducts an annual open recruitment for season interns, covering positions such as video production, graphic design, art technology assistant, and performing arts/events assistant, suitable for students who wish to explore multimedia production, stage production, or a career in the arts administration. We hope to provide career guidance for young people through our internship programme, allowing them to understand theatre work and learn relevant vocational skills.
Additionally, Zuni regularly organizes a series of events and talks specially designed for young people, including career-oriented courses and beginner workshops as well as foundational courses on Arts Tech Theatre. These are open to high school students and tertiary students who aspire to pursue a career in arts technology. The courses are also open to teachers, parents, and social workers who have keen interest in the areas.

“The Art Tech ABC workshop leads me into the intersection of theatre arts and technology, showing me that the future of theatre should be unlimited.”
– Leung Cheuk Lam, 2nd year student, Faculty of Arts, The University of Hong Kong.
“I have benefited greatly from the internship, gaining practical experience and learning how to apply different skills in the workplace.“
– Wong Ka Chun, student of the Higher Diploma in Theme Park and Theatre Creative Technology at the Hong Kong Institute of Vocational Education (IVE)
“The 6+1 Creative Workshop inspired me to have more thinking, for example, besides the performers, lighting and audience can also be part of the stage performance, making me realize the need to look at things from different perspectives.”
– Trivia, Hong Kong Design Institute student, Higher Diploma in Design for Event, Exhibition and Performance
The Zuni Art Partner Programme not only allows grassroots individuals and youth to engage with and participate in performing arts, but the extensive range of activities also enriches their life experiences and broadens their horizons. Participation in art activities relieves negative emotions, boosts self-confidence, and strengthens their sense of community belonging.
