Yao Chang is an actor, singer, songwriter, and vocal percussionist who actively appears in movies, television and theatre. As a graduate of the School of Theatre Arts at Taipei National University of the Arts, Chang has explored the possibilities of world music and creation. As a tenor, he is often recognized for his unique voice and wide vocal range. Chang has worked with directors such as Mathias Woo, Wang Shaudi, Hsu Fu-chun, Li Huan-hsiung, Wang Chia-ming, etc. He participated in the theatrical work, Ever Never, and won the Young Theatre Artist’s Competition at the 3rd Wuzhen Theatre Festival, and was also nominated in the 15th Taishin Arts Award. Other productions he performed in include, One Hundred Years of Chinese Architecture and Turn Left, turn Right – Love or Regret. In 2016, Chang went on a solo exploration of Inner Mongolia for a month. He also went to Expo Milano 2015.
