Xie Shu has worked across film and television project planning, screenwriting, theatre directing, theatre production, arts centre management, and new media party creation. The “Body in Action” Theatre and Dance Studio, which she initiated, is an active interdisciplinary collective engaged in cross-media artistic practices.
Xie possesses extensive experience in cross-media platform management and production. Her stage works include Behind 3.0, Ten, and Abundance. She also initiated the arts training programme Transformation, through which directors, performers, and artists from different parts of the world were invited to Beijing to teach dance students aged 14 to 24. Alongside broadening their artistic perspectives, the programme has supported students in gaining admission to institutions including New York University Tisch School of the Arts, the Amsterdam University of the Arts, and the University of Illinois.
