China's contemporary guqin player. She began her guqin studies at the age of nine and graduated from the Central Conservatory of Music, where she learned from renowned teachers, Ms. Zhao Jiazhen and Mr. Li Xiangting. She has won several top awards in guqin competitions and became the first graduate student to specialise in guqin performance in China.
Since 1999, Wu Na has worked with artists in various fields like rock, jazz, electronic music, theatre, dance, and multimedia art, making her a versatile artist in cross-boundary performance and a leading figure in the innovation of the art of guqin. In 2008, she received a scholarship from the Asian Cultural Council to study contemporary Western art and music in the United States.
Wu Na is also dedicated to guqin education. Since 2015, she has been a faculty member at Capital Normal University's College of Music. She founded the online guqin education platform Man Xue Tang in 2016.
