Since 2007, Tang Xianzu’s Dream on Dreams was presented in Hong Kong, Nanjing, Suzhou, and Brussels. Reading Dreams, Talking Narratives documents the making of Tang Xianzu’s Dream on Dreams. Director Mathias Woo tries to explore the delicacy and tenderness of Kunqu through the lenses. By interviewing the playwright and the performers, it records the creative process in cooperation with the Jiangsu Kunqu Opera House.

Read Sing Eileen Chang

Read Sing Eileen Chang was premiered in the Hong Kong Cultural Centre in 2020. As Zuni’s first live-streaming experiment, the production jumps out of the theatre into the audiences’ home; this year, it even walks into the screen at the cinema.

Featuring texts selected from Eileen Chang’s novels and essays, the writings of Eileen Chang become three-dimensional as a team of musicians and performers from different cities engage in a creative experiment on sound, acting, and technology.
