ARTS TECH: A NEW WORLD OF CONNECTIVITY
The integration of arts and technology cultivates and enhances the content and delivery of artistic creation, even opening up unorthodox ways of experiencing the performing arts. By venturing into new forms of presentation, technology can offer opportunities for artists to explore and break through traditional boundaries.
With the ever-changing performing arts industry, how can latest developments in technology create new paths to deepen audience engagement and experience? What are the synergistic effects and challenges arising from the integration of performing arts and technology?
From May 24th to 27th, the four-day congress of 2022 Hong Kong ISPA Congress focuses on Art/Technology and their impact on the world. Zuni Icosahedron’s co-artistic director Mathias Woo has been invited to attend the May 27th session “ARTS TECH: A NEW WORLD OF CONNECTIVITY” from 4pm to 5pm as one of the speakers. Others speakers are as follows: Tegan Bristow, Senior Lecturer and Principal Researcher of Digital Arts Dept. of the Wits School of Arts, University of the Witwatersrand, South Africa. Hong Kong ISPA Congress
International Society for the Performing Arts (ISPA) is a famous international membership network in the field of performing art and is attended by more than 500 art leaders from more than 185 cities and regions. Twice a year, ISPA Congresses bring together performing arts leaders from across the globe to discover the next great idea, and strengthen relationships, fostering connection and exchange. Programming is geared toward both established and emerging leaders in the performing arts. Congress attendees include presenters, festivals, producing companies, artist managers, consultants, and government cultural leaders.
After successfully hosting the 2006 ISPA congress, Hong Kong is the first city in Asia to host the ISPA congress again. 2022 Hong Kong ISPA Congress will build a strategic platform and gather arts and culture leaders from different regions of the world to brainstorm and discover new opportunities. This will reinforce the local cultural exchange and build up a closer international network and professional relationships in order to create new impetus for the performing arts field and mark another new milestone in the Hong Kong cultural development.
2022 Hong Kong ISPA Congress's theme is “To Connect Beyond”
