Yang Junfeng is a dan (female-role) performer in Sichuan opera and a second-generation inheritor of the Ouyang-style Sichuan opera facial makeup tradition. He specialises in Guimen Dan (young gentlewoman roles) and Qingyi Dan (virtuous female roles). He studied under renowned Sichuan opera masters Tan Xiaohong, Xiong Wei, Shu Yuanhui, Yan Fengying, Liu Yun, Wang Huamao, among others, and later became the last disciple of the distinguished Sichuan opera performing artist Ouyang Ronghua.
His representative repertoire includes Diao Chuang, Qiu Jiang, Si Fan, Bie Dong Guan Jing, and Bie Gong Chu Zheng.
He received the Outstanding Actor Award at the 8th Chongqing Grand Theatre Festival, and the production in which he performed was honoured with the First Prize.
