Wong On-ching

Wong On-ching began studying traditional Chinese opera at the age of four, specializing in "Guimen Dan" (virtuous young female roles) and "Qingyi" (serious, dignified female roles). She graduated from the Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts with a full scholarship to pursue a Bachelor's degree in Chinese Opera.

Her performances have taken her internationally to Macao, Beijing, Singapore, the United States, and Canada. She was honored with the Outstanding Student Award by the Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts in 2023.

Her notable performances include: ”Forty Years of Cherished Love“, 'Stealing the verse' from “The Romance of Jade Hairpin”, ‘Sacrifice the Son to Rescue the Orphan’ from “Zhao's Orphan,” and the original production “Pearl Bay” by HKAPA School of Chinese Opera.
