Lui Tin-yau

Lui Tin-yau, Mark is a freelance musician of the Hong Kong Chinese Orchestra, Music Office, Macau Orchestra, Windpipe Chinese Music Ensemble and Hua Xia Chinese Music Association, a member of the Four Gig Heads Percussion Group, Hong Kong Music Lover Chinese Orchestra and The Moving Drums.

Lui began learning Western Percussion under the tutelage of Chau Chin-tung and Luk Kin Bun since young. He obtained his Bachelor of Music (Honours) degree with First Honour Class in Chinese Percussion from The Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts under Yim Hok Man. He studied Timpani and Orchestral Percussion under Aziz D. Barnard Luce and James Boznos. He is currently studying a Visiting Students Programme (Cantonese Opera Percussion) at The Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts under Wilson Zhao. He was also presented the Cecil Leong Scholarship, the First Initiative Foundation Music Scholarship, The Society of Academic for Performing Arts Local Scholarship and the HKAPA Scholarship. He has given acclaimed performances in Hong Kong, Macao, Shenzhen, Melbourne, Vancouver and Edmonton.
