Chiao Yuan-pu
Born in Taipei in 1978. Bachelor of Arts in Political Science (International Relations) at the National University of Taiwan, Master of Arts in Law and Diplomacy at the Fletcher School, Tufts University, P.h.D. in musicology at King’s College, London, Edison Fellow of the Sound Archive, British Library. He started publishing articles in magazines and newspapers since he was fifteen, covering music research, musician interviews, international competition news coverages, literature works, translations, and script adaptations. He has written over ten books on piano pieces, renowned pianists, and classical music in general - his book “The Colors Between Black and White: Interviews with 55 World Pianists” has been translated into Japanese. He has also curated talks with the National Symphony Orchestra, 20X10 Chopin International Music Festival, and Debussy Touch Music Festival as the music festival. He is also the host of radio programmes at Classical Fm 97.7 (Taichung) and Taipei Bravo FM91.3 and won Golden Bell Awards Non-popular music award with Focus Music.
