The Pork Chop Inferno - Chamber of Experience

Immersive Comic Experience: Let's hear what the old man has to say about this

Introduction

The Pork Chops Inferno Theatre uses the unique space of theatre to create a three-dimensional watching experience that reading comics could never provide. It is both 2D and 3D, both passive and active at the same time. The creator, Lai Tat Tat Wing will tell them his experience as a comic artist, and he will submerge and drown with the audience in this theatre chamber. The Pork Chops Inferno Theatre is a comic publication by Lai Tat Tat Wing in the year 2017, and he received the Silver Award in the 12th Japan International Manga Awards in 2019 for this.

More

The process of comic novel creation
The first decision to make is the number of pages
Number of pages defines the story’s length
Story’s length affects its complexity
Story’s theme defines its style
And generates a series of images
Then turns images into texts
That becomes the blueprint of the script
Researches start with identified keywords
Keywords brought in images in my mind
My job is to edit those images into story’s content
Then arrange a reading sequence
Some are rational, some irrational
Sometimes it is playful, sometimes serious
